A few homeschool field trips

In lieu of my usual wordiness, here are a bunch of pictures.

We went to a tour of the milk/ice cream plant at the Publix warehouse Tuesday of last week.

My big girls sure do stand out from the elementary aged kids.

You know you are near the Publix warehouses when you are this close to the cake water tower.

The girls love the free ice cream at the end of the tour

We also did a class at Crystal Springs about birds on Thursday. They have an amazing educational center. The springs are open to the public by reservation, but no swimming. This is also the site which is the source of water in Crystal Springs bottled water. We heard but didn't see many birds.

We saw lots of these baby grasshoppers.

Evie found a turkey feather

Phil took the girls to Circle B Bar Reserve on Thursday and again on Saturday.

Do you see the alligator on the path?

This hawk keeps an eye on the kids.

That's a pileated woodpecker and a cardinal in that tree.
